I’ve just posted the A-Profiler interview with Dani Miura an actress, model, vocalist who may look younger than she is but has veteran experience in the entertainment world. Perhaps most recognizable as her role as young girl on Dateline NBC’s To Catch a Predator, she also is working on her current album which she hopes to release at the end of 2008. Find out how she got started, if her young look has hindered her, and how she has managed to overcome anorexia.

Imagine an Online APA Entertainers Encyclopedia
I’m working on a new addition to AArisings which hopefully will be out by the end of the month - a Wiki! Yes, think of a place where you can find out about your favorite Asian Pacific American entertainers past, present, and future! I’m hoping to mirror it after one of my favorite Wiki’s, LostPedia. I need some volunteers to help me get some good content on it first before releasing it to the public at large. If you would be willing to contribute before launch, please do let me know by contacting me. Thanks!

Congratulations to Kina Grannis on being the grand prize winner of the Doritos “Crash the Super Bowl” contest! Her music video was aired during the Super Bowl and she goes on to bright things with Interscope Records and beyond!
We were lucky enough to be able to interview her for an A-Profiler during the contest and she was so gracious. We’ll be sure to keep updated on this fast rising star!

Crash the Super Bowl Contest Over
Now we wait for one of the three finalists in the Dorito’s Crash the Super Bowl contest to be announced (I think they’ll announce it during the Super Bowl on Sunday). With two of the three finalists having APA representation, there is a pretty good chance that we could see some Asian American as the winner and having their music video showned to 90+ million people worldwide and also landing an Interscope Records deal. Will it be Kina Grannis or Nivla? Or could Landon Austin pull it out?
If I hear the results early, I’ll let you all know but my guess is that we won’t know until the Super Bowl.
